The Next Generation of Automated Stud Welding
With a forward looking vision and commitment to quality enhancement, Ahmad Tahmasbi Company has upgraded its production lines with fully automated stud welding systems controlled by PLC—marking a major step in strengthening joints and improving efficiency. In this advanced process, a stud is welded to the metal surface in a fraction of a second, without prior drilling or threading, with micron level precision. The process instantly melts the stud tip and work surface, then compresses them under controlled force, creating a metal to metal bond of exceptional mechanical durability that meets high industrial standards for both strength and uniformity.

Speed, Precision, and Quality in Every Joint
Smart PLC control manages parameters such as current intensity, arc time, contact pressure, and positioning to perform stud welding with high speed and flawless repeatability. This advantage is critical for projects requiring large numbers of welds, tight deadlines, and strict quality demands. From heavy steel structures and electrical panels to automotive manufacturing, bodywork, tanks, and industrial equipment, PLC stud welding at Ahmad Tahmasbi delivers reliable, efficient solutions for complex and demanding applications.
How It Works
1
Reading Plans and Stud Positioning
Before starting, the machine reads precise weld location data from drawings or CAD files. These coordinates are sent to the CNC controller, defining the exact movement path. The automatic feed supplies studs, and the welding head accurately positions each stud at its intended location.
2
Welding According to CNC Program
Based on the specified coordinates and settings, the CNC controller adjusts parameters like current, voltage, and arc duration. A short, high energy arc is generated between the stud tip and the workpiece, melting both contact surfaces to form a uniform, strong bond.
3
Fixing and Moving to the Next Point
After welding, the stud is fixed in place under preset pressure and timing, then rapidly cooled by the system. Meanwhile, the CNC automatically moves to the next location, continuing the cycle until all weld points are completed.
